Welcome to South West Aberdeenshire Citizens Advice Bureau (SWACAB)

Citizens Advice Bureau Westhill and District Office

From Westhill right through to the upper Dee and Don valleys, SWACAB covers the whole of South West Aberdeenshire, providing free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information to help you resolve any problems and issues you face.

We have been assisting people with their problems since 2007, dealing with ever increasing numbers of clients. Furthermore, we have been active in the community, providing employment for local people and providing volunteer opportunities to people who are passionate about helping others.

We now employ 12 staff, mostly part time, and have around 50 volunteers involved with the organisation. Our fantastic people have led the bureau to increase the number of client issues and actions from less than 100 in the first year to over 25,000 last year. We also gained over £3.6 million pounds for our clients last year a sum that equates to almost £15 for every £1 of our annual cost.

We have bureau offices in Westhill, Banchory and Aboyne, supplemented by 5 outreach locations. Please see our Where and When page for details of all our locations, opening times and how to contact us.

As a registered local charity, SWACAB is reliant on financial and Fundraising support from the community.

We are always looking for additional volunteers to join the bureau and value all financial support, no matter how small.
